Zander Fishing Hollands Diep
Hana and Emir travelled from Switzerland hoping for a full pelagic tour, but with our guide Goran Krnjic already booked, our guide Thom Prüst took them on a focused semi‑pelagic zander tour on the Hollands Diep. In this style, we don’t hunt mid‑water fish with a PS30 like in true pelagic fishing. Instead, we use the Livescope exclusively to track fish tight to the bottom and actively work to lure them up. It’s a highly interactive and visual way of fishing, where every movement of the lure and every reaction of the fish matters.
Hana adapted incredibly fast. Once she understood how subtle the takes can be, she became the undisputed zander queen of the day, hooking fish with growing consistency. Emir had fewer bites, but he made them count — connecting with the bigger specimens and proving that size and numbers rarely go hand in hand.
A focused day of modern predator fishing with plenty of action, clear results, and a perfect demonstration of what zander fishing on the Hollands Diep can offer when technique, timing and technology come together.
Video impression of the day
Before wrapping up, I put together a short video impression of the session. Not a full recording or technical breakdown — just a clean snapshot of the atmosphere, the action, and how Hana and Emir handled this semi‑pelagic style on the Hollands Diep.
